iStaffSource Team Conquers Passig Islet
What do you think the iStaffSource movers do doing their spare time? Do you think they spend most of their time sitting on their desks and typing away on their keyboards?
Think again.
Every now and then, the very hardworking and creative team of iStaffSource takes some time off to unplug, unwind, and recharge. We conduct exciting team building events to strengthen our working relationships and foster a more solid friendship. This past weekend, our journey took us to Passig Islet — a charming little man-made islet off the coast of Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, Philippines.
Squeezing ourselves inside a convoy of 3 vehicles, we took a 45-minute leisurely drive from the center of Davao City and arrived just before lunchtime at the boat terminal for our connecting trip to our lovely destination. Aboard 3 small motorboats, we embarked on a short but fun trip across the choppy waters and through the strong winds.
Arriving at the islet itself, we took a few minutes to settle down and admire the picturesque scene around us. The team itself held an informal picture-taking before indulging in the sumptuous pot-luck feast that we had prepared. Afters stuffing ourselves with roast pork, honey-roasted chicken, fried catfish, oregano liempo, steamed rice, chicken adobo, brownies, and soda, we relaxed a bit. Truly, our lunch was more than enough. Now would be the perfect time to swim to help us burn all those calories. And swim we did!
Wading into the clear water, admiring the blue skies, basking in the warm sunlight, shivering in the breeze, splashing around and taking even more pictures to add to our album of memories — everybody was just plain enjoying the weekend at the beach.
Every once in a while, we would venture back to our buffet table and snack on the readily available goodies. We also played a couple of really fun and unique made-up games to liven up the afternoon, which we will discuss in details in the next segment of this write-up.
It was a really fine weekend that helped erased the week’s stress and worries. Lovely setting, great food, and lively company — all these blended together perfectly to make our Passig Islet outing a successful one.
